Sreemangal hotels and Restuarents

Tourist Importance:  If you want to go somewhere close to the nature, a place where peace and calmness prevails then Srimangal is the place to visit.Srimangal is said to be the tea capital of Bangladesh.The gentle sloped hills here are very favorable for the tea production. Thus it is so called “the land of two leaves and a bud”.
Famous Seven Layers Tea:
Its locally called Nil-Kontho-Cha. Now ten layer tea is also found there.

Transport( from dhaka to sreemangal):
  • AC/Non-AC Bus is available from Syedabad Bus Terminal,Dhaka. It may take 4 hours to reach Sreemangal from dhaka.
  • There are three trains from Dhaka to Sreemangal. Time: 6:30 am, 2:00 pm and 10:15 pm. ( Ticket are not available. You have to book it before 1 days.

How to go:
There are two ways to go to Sreemangal, by road or railway, from Dhaka and all other major cities of the country.

By Road
A number of bus services have regular trip to Sreemangal. It takes around 3-4 hours to reach Sreemangal from Dhaka by bus. Travel time depends on the traffic condition of the exit channel of Dhaka i.e. Saidabad to Kanchpur Bridge.
Shaymoly Paribahan & Hanif Paribahan are the two well-known bus services to Sreemangal. You have to start your journey from Saidabad Bus Station. Both the services have several trips from early morning to late night. However, it would be better if you take an early morning trip, as it will save you at least 1 hour. Shaymoly Paribahan charges Tk. 250 for a single trip.
If you want to come from Chittagong, you will not get any direct bus. In that case, you have to take a bus to Sylhet and land at Shayestaganj. From Shayestaganj, you have to take a Habiganj to Sylhet bus. It will drop you at Sreemangal. It will take around 30 minutes from Shayestaganj to Sreemangal.
By Train
There are three tains grom Dhaka to Sylhet. They will drop you at Sreemangal Station on the way to Sylhet. It will take 6-7 hours from Dhaka to Sreemangal by train. Parabat Express Starts at 6:40am (Off: Tuesday), Joyantika Express starts at 2:00 pm and Upaban Express starts at 9:50 pm (Off: Wednesday). AC Berth Tk. 526, AC Seat Tk.345, Shovon Chair Tk. 135, Shulov Tk. 75.
From Chittagong, you can come to Sreemangal by Paharika or Udayan Express. Paharika starts at 8:15 am and Udayan starts at 9:00 pm. Non AC berth Tk. 370, Shovon Chair Tk. 165. There is no AC seat or berth from Chittagong.
